Empowered to Lead: Inspiring Women to Accelerate Action and Lead with Purpose

Mar. 05, 2025 6:00 p.m.

Leadership is not about waiting nor is it about titles or positions —it is about taking purposeful action to create meaningful change. Women have always been leaders in their homes, workplaces, and communities, with the power to drive transformation. Yet too often, they hesitate to step forward due to self-doubt, hesitation, societal expectations, or a lack of mentorship. The 2025 International Women’s Day theme, "Accelerate Action," serves as a call to break these barriers, embrace leadership with confidence, and drive change with intention.

This session will empower women to seize leadership opportunities, take decisive action, and lead with purpose. Through personal insights, real-life leadership stories, and lessons from volunteering, participants will gain practical tools and strategies to accelerate their leadership growth. We will explore how leadership begins with small, intentional actions, the role of mentorship, and the impact of intergenerational collaboration.

It's a Small World Pot luck Dinner
Mar. 26, 2025 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

You are invited to It's a Small World, our Potluck dinner on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Please mark your calendar to save that evening. Plan to bring your family.

This is a potluck. Food brings us together. Sharing food is great for peace keeping and making. The challenge this year is to bring a dish you really loved as a child (hopefully, we are not ending up with desserts only - haha). What comes to your mind? Others will want that, too!

This is a fundraiser. We will collect donations and raffle off prizes to benefit Habitat for Humanity, an organization our club has supported for a long time. Do you have any (food-related) items or services you can contribute to our prize bags? Is there a meal you make all the time and you'd be open to showing someone else how to make it? Let's make a coupon for a cooking class and raffle it off for a good cause!

This is going to be fun. Please share any suggestions. Also, please confirm if you have something for our prize bags. Keep it simple or be creative or both
